Bios Won't Detect Hard Drive Or CdRom
I have a dell demension 8200 that i upgraded the graphics card and when i turned it back on it just says strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for setup utility.... So when i go to setup it says primary drive 0= unknown device and secondary drive 0 unknown device and on boot sequence it only reads Diskette Drive. So i put another hard drive from another computer that does work and it still does the same thing and i hooked up both the cd drive and dvd drive up to another computer which work as well so i was wondering my my bios wont reconize my hard drive or my cd-rom?

If you know you made no other changes (such as jumpers on the drives), try a new ribbon cable for the drives. They do fail when disconnected and reconnected at times particularly when they're as old as the ones in your system.

Try the devices one at a time - one of them may have failed.
