Blue & orange battery?!

Hi Elyaman,

I am sorry about the situation; please check if the battery and the AC adapter are detected in BIOS. Shutdown the computer and tap F2 during the startup to acess the BIOS page.

In addition update the BIOS using the link below.

In this link punch in the system service tag or express service code, under the BIOS category select the latest BIOS and install it in the system. Connect the Ac Adapter while updating the BIOS and do not use the system until it restarts after the update

Once the BIOS is updated check if the issue persists, also let me know the complete model number of the laptop.

my laptop is a Dell Vostro 1520

i didn't see anything regarding the battery in the BIOS

now i checked it further and when i turn on the computer the power button doesn't light up and the battery light blinks orange.

once i take out the battery (while the computer is on) the power button finally lights up (the way it's supposed to be when the computer is on regularly) and the battery light turns off.

once i put the battery back in the battery blinks orange-blue and the power continues to be blue

i forced a bios re-installation (as i had the newest version already and it blocked me from not forced install) and it didn't change anything.

could the battery be dead? though it still says it's 97% full, not charging.

i am confused.

Thanks for the update, please try with the another battery and check if the issue persists? In case the issue persists please consider replacing the battery.
