DELL XPS M1730 PROBLEMS
Hello all :) hope u are fine
I bought XPS M1730 2 weeks ago and was quite happy with it in the first days but suddenly everything changed.
Today i was playing COD4 multiplayer and suddenly the screen went black and flashed many times and i had to use task manager to end COD4,at the bottom near the clock i got this message:
nvlddmkm driver has stopped working but has recovered successfully
Then i couldnt play it,so i had to restart, when the windows boot up again, i went and played Crysis but my FPS dropped alot,i dont know what do
I have used the 2 drivers for XPS M1730 in DELLs site, one NVIDIA desktop driver(from laptopvideo2go) and finally the NVIDIA LATEST 175.32 Driver and results are the same.
Config:IntelCore2Duo T9300@2.5GHZ,2x8800MGTX in SLI,4GB DDR2 667
I paid alot for this laptop and its a bid disappointment :(

Did you also download/use the modded INF file? They don;t work (properly) without it!
Try the latest drivers available first (v177.89). If you still have problems with those (I'm not - and I play CoD 4 myself, too), try increasingly older sets, until you find a set which are stable for you?
Remember to uninstall the old drivers, before installing the new ones ;)

Yeah i first uninstalled the drivers, then i went to safe mode and used dirver cleaner and then i installed the new drivers, and yes i installed the moded inf too.
Also i purchased this laptop because of 2x8800MGTX so i can play @ 1920x1200,then u say i disable SLI?
At the first days that i received it,i didnt have any single problems,i could max out everything @ 19200x1200 but not i cant,i get FPS drop and the game play isnt smooth
