Fingerprint scan issues
Any suggestions on how to get a fingerprint scan on a new XPS 1530? I've been trying for a couple of days without success. Either I get "bad scan" or else the software freezes and nothing happens. I thought I was doing exactly what the tutorial spelled out. Has anyone else experienced problems with this? Are there drivers that can fix the problem?

:emotion-12:This problem reached critical mass on 1/6/09. After getting onsite support out to replace the palm rest with one that didn't work and then a second call, THE NEW PALM REST FRIED OUT MY MOTHERBOARD!!! I am a writer without a computer because of faulty Dell parts. Customer service can't give me a date when I'll my laptop replaced so that I can work. They're telling me it may as long as 16 days!!! For the first time in the nine years I've bought nothing but Dells, I'm disgusted with customer service. :emotion-39:
