Laptop keeps freezing and locking up
I have a Latitude D520 that I bought back in January of 2007. It has Windows XP and an Intel Core 2 Duo. My computer was working fine, no problems and then today it all of a sudden froze and I've been having a nightmare since. I've run all the diagnostics that Dell support has recommended and I'm getting that everything is fine. I've run Vipre anti-virus anti-spyware and came back clean. My computer freaks out during start and shut down, and sometime will randomly just freeze when I'm working. I've tried everything that I know of. Can anyone help???

Try updating bios and check for any heat symptoms on the system. Does the system freeze happen while you play games or using any graphic intensive application or it just happens randomly???
