Latitude D600 USB Drivers?

My GF formatted the hard drive and now when a flash drive is plugged in, it will not load the flash drive. it does not appear in My Computer.

I searched for USB drivers in the Dell drivers download page, but wasn't sure what this may need? Does anyone know or ahve advice as to what drivers I need or how to get the USB ports working again?

The USB drivers do appear in the device manager window. It is lsited as Intel(R) 82801DB/DBM USB 2.0 Enhanced Host contoller-24CD, with 3 entries below this that end with 24C2, 24C4, and 24C7. Then below those lines it has USB Root Hub lsited 4 times.

Appreciate any help or advice, and Thanks!

Assuming that WinXP is installed, are you sure that you have all three of the following drivers installed?

Notebook System Software
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails/DriverFileFormats?DriverId=5870X&FileId=2731098284

Intel Mobile Chipset

O2Micro drivers

And you have at least SP2 for WinXP installed.  Recommend SP3

I had the Intel Mobile Chipset driver and the 02 Micro drivers installed, but I did not have that first you listed installed, the Notebook System Software installed. That one did sound promising as it mentioned USB devices, and I installed it and restarted, but the system still does not recognize a USB flash drive. It does seem to b powering USB devices thru the USB ports, but it does nor recognize any devices, so I guess I must still be missing a driver that it needs.

Thanks for the assistance.
