OEM Product Key
Someone could please explain how to recover an OEM product key.
I bought the Inspiron E1505 with Windows Vista Home Premium OEM Act and MS Office Home and Student-2K7 already installed.
Everything was working fine until i decide to up date the system to Windows 7. Since i have installed Windows 7 my MS Office doesn't work anymore.
I tried to re-install the MS Office but the MS Office product key has gone.
I want to konw how to recover the OEM product key for MS Office.

I *think* MS Office Home and Student should have a product key somewhere on the disk packaging.

Yes, it has.
But the product key that comes with the laptop is just to Windows Home and Student, and doesn't works for the Office.
I have tried Dell Support but my service tag already expires and its just impossible to contact then about this issue.
I hope somebody here found a solution or please indicate a Dell's contact by e-mail.

If the system was purchased from Dell and ordered with Office 2007 Home & Student then so far as I know it would have shipped with the CD(s) and the install key.
As against Office 2010 where only a product key and certificate is provided on a card included with the system. This key activates the trial copy included on the system.
Since you mentioned Office 2007 you should have a CD in an envelope with a Microsoft sticker on the back which has the key. If you have lost it then I think you are out of luck.

Oops, sorry... i made a mistake.
The product key that came with the laptop is for Windows Vista Home Premium OEM Act.
Using the Dell Web site, with my service tag is possible to know all the parts of the laptop and one of then is "Kit software, MS Office Home and Student-2K7 english" part number UN495. But without a product key.

If you did an in-place upgrade of Vista to 7 then your existing copy of Office shoud have still worked. So my assumption is that you did a clean install. In that case you would have had to re-install Office 2007 from the CD. You imply that you did, so you must have the CD. The card envelope that the CD came in has the key you need.
So far as I know Dell would have shipped an Office 2007 CD in a white card envelope with Microsoft stickers on the back which has the product key you need. But maybe I am wrong about that. If the laptop shipped with no separate Dell / Microsoft Office 2007 CD then I would assume you had some sort of certificate in the manuals and documentation that has the key. Such is the case with Office 2010. This key would activate the factory pre-installed trial copy.
So do you have the original Dell/ Microsoft Office 2007? Or do you have some sort of certificate?
