Rupee Symbol

Welcome to dell Community .I am Sukanya from Dell Social media team. I see that you are unable to use the Rupee symbol on the keyboard.It generally works by pressing just SHIFT key and the number 4 key together .Please try that once .Also let us know if it is typing the exact symbol as depicted above teh numeric key or are they typing  wrong charactors.

Hi,

please let me know if all the other symbols depicted on the rest of the numeric keys typing correctly.If they are not it could be the keyboard lay out issue.

i tried that also when i do that i get the $ symbol and not the rupee symbol. it is typing the correct $ symbol, but it alos has to trype the rupee symbol under numeric 4

yes it is working only rupeee and euro symbol does not work

In that case there is a possibilt that the keyboard language is set to English US .Try changing it to India it should resolve the issue.

The steps to change the keyboard language is given below .Let me know if it works.

1.Click Start Collapse this imageExpand this image, type intl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

2.On the Keyboards and Language tab, click Change keyboards.

3.Click Add.

4.Expand the language that you want. For example, expand French (Canada).

5.Expand Keyboard list, click to select the Canadian French check box, and then click OK.

6.In the options, click View Layout to compare the layout with the actual keyboard.

7.In the Default input language list, clickon the desired language, and then click OK two times.

8.In the Regional and Language Options dialog box, click OK.

Note  The Language  bar appears on the taskbar. When you rest the mouse pointer over this bar, a tooltip appears that describes the active keyboard layout.

9.Click the Language bar, and then click English India.

i did try this, and i selected India keyboard, and still iam unable to use the rupee symbol.
