2407 Heat Issue
I just received a 2407W-Rev A02.
It seems abnormally hot. In a 74F airconditioned room the top is almost too hot to touch. The visible portion of the screen emits so much heat I can feel it radiating on my face.
I took a medical digital thermometer and touched it to the visible portion of the screen. It hit 116F which is the maximum temperature it can display.
I tried calling tech support for nearly 2 hours. It takes me though an endless loop, puts me on hold and then disconnects me. Nearly 2 hours and I didn't speak to 1 human.
I've only had experience with 21" LCD's and the screen usually feels a little warm to the touch, not 116F+. Can someone please tell me if this is normal for this monitor?
If this is not do you have any suggestions on how I could speak to someone from tech support to get a replacement sent out?
Thanks for your help.

Yes, I can touch it on top, but it is still unpleasantly hot. Used to have a Dell 1900FP and did not heat at all.
So, do not take it personally. This feature should come in handy during winter. They should definitely add BTU heat in the specifications sheet.
So, to wrap up:
1. heat
2. banding
3. excessive contrast
4. uneven white from right to left side
Overall, it is nice for games. But we should expect a rev. A03 and a replacement plan....

I have the same issue - its a cold room and -
1) the top of the monitor is uncomfortably hot
2) I can feel it radiating to my face.
3) - after long sessions, the day after!! my face still feels hot from the last session - and in fact hot, and flushed red.
I have never experienced this before in my life. - I am very concerned. - I will be changing monitors back to my 19" to see if the redness in my face goes away - however if this is caused by a fault in the monitor etc, hmm. lawyer anyone?
(seriously I am afraid its giving me a radiation burn)
