3008WFP, intermittent blank screen, not heating up enough

I also just recently had an issue with my 3008WFP but I think it is not heating up enough. Temps dropped here to where the house was high 50s to low 60s and the screen would go completely black after showing the Dell logo for a second. I couldn't see the menu or switch inputs just completely black. Then every now and then the input icon would pop up for a few seconds as if it was working and then go black again. I was trying to decide what to do with this giant dead monitor. Lo and behold temps get back into the 80s for a few days (Texas winter) I walk by and the input icon is bouncing around the screen. I switch to the correct input and bam, back up and running. I read that this model is known to have bad capacitors and perhaps they can't produce enough capacitance in the cold? Very strange but also very happy to have my monitor back.
