Alienware OptX AW2310 OSD menu locked out
I have searched high and low for a way to disable this locked out status on the monitor. The alienwear OptX monitor has limited touch based controls on the side. The base button of 5 used to enable the menu and allow you to select your options. Now it only produces the lock symbol and wont proceed. I have tried:
- Holding the menu button down for extended period of time. (no change menu lights simply time out and nothing happens)
- Monitor off and on. No change
- Monitor power cable out for short and extended periods of time. No change
- Holding menu button down while powering off and on. No change.
- Holding down the menu button for 15seconds to disable in a similar way to other dell screens. No change, lock symbol simply times out and after 15 -20-30 whatever seconds nothing is unlocked.

Dell-ChrisM suggested : When the OSD is locked, press the first OSD control (Exit) above the Power On/Off button for 15 seconds to unlock it.
This doesnt work in any way i try it. You press this button and it beeps to give you the locked out osd icon, the icon stays up for about 5 seconds, continue holding till 15 or 20 or 30 seconds and nothing. Back to the lock icon

If you only have a Dell order number for your monitor, you should contact Order Support for your country. If you purchased the monitor bundled with a Dell PC, contact Technical Support for your country. They will need the following data -
Email Address:
Name:
Shipping Address:
Phone Number:
Monitor Order number:
PC Service Tag number if bundled:
Monitor 20 digit PPID number:
Reason: Monitor will not release from Locked Mode
