D2719HGF, return, stand disassemble?
I am trying to return my D2719HGF monitor to Amazon, however, I cannot separate the two pieces of the stand.
Please help.

Thank you for your message. Please follow the manual here (page 19) to separate the stand from the monitor.
For the stand pieces, try to pull the stand column from the stand base with some force. If this does not work, you might have to ship the stand in a locked position.

Hi moderator,
That suggestion does not seem right, nor does the manual address THIS specific issue. What are the clear instructions to remove the stand collumn from the base? Excessive force does not seem to work and feels like it's putting the return at risk.

Hopefully you already solved this but seeing as your question is the #1 Google result and there is currently no good information out there here you go
At the underside of the base/pedestal assembly there are two flexible tabs on opposite sides of each other. Push both tabs towards the center at the same time while applying pressure on the thin edge of the pedestal exposed by the base. The pedestal should slide free with ease once both tabs are sufficiently depressed.
On a personal note I've very disappointed that Dell's official response has been "see page 19", which shows how to remove the assembly from the monitor but not how to disassemble it at all.
