DELL ST2310 Image doesn't fill screen: black borders
When i replace the GVA-cable with an HDMI cable, the image doens't fill te screen anymore.
I already set the resolution to 1920 x 1080 as recommended and tried restoring the factory settings of the monitor.
Windows says the driver of the grafics card is OK.
Who knows what the problem could be ?

Just had the same problem on a new Studio Slim with an ATI 4350 Video Card. After many hours with Tech Support, I finally fixed the problem myself. Here's the fix: Go to the ATI Catalyst Control Center (by right Clicking on the desktop and choosing to go to the ATI Control Center), On the top left there will be a drop down menu, click on it and choose "Desktop & Displays" On the bottom half of the screen Right click on the icon of your display, and choose "Configure," On the next screen choose "Scaling Options" tab you can then slide the rul all the way to 0% scaling and you should see the screen change to cover the full monitor.
Here's another link to where I finally found the solution- http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/974402
I hope this helps your issue...

Hello! Here is a few things to check out. In the graphics properties, is the card able to achieve that high of resolution? Generally there is a slider that has Min and Max, if its on Max, it should tell you what that resolution is. If it is up to that resolution, maybe try installing updated drivers for your graphics card. Sometimes there could be a quirky driver that is causing the problem. If that doesn't work, try playing with the settings on the monitor itself. There might be a setting that allows for full screen mode that needs to be turned on. Hope this helps!

That's awesome! You just saved me some major bucks buying into some silly "Software Warrantee" the Dell Phone support people were trying to sell me!
