E172fp with no picture, only power button flicker

Question

I have a E172fp  with no picture, only power button blink... does anyone know  the cause and is this treatable?  thanks.

* Turn off the monitor
* Plug the monitor power cord directly into the wall socket to remove any surge protectors or APCs from the troubleshooting equation
* Unplug the monitor video cable from the back of the computer
* Turn on the monitor
* The floating red/green/blue/white dialog box should appear on screen against a black background. What do you see?

Thanks for the reply,  it seems to be and internal power issue.  As I said, no picture only a blinking green light behind the power button.  No change when disconnected from computer. Are there any internal replaceable parts to fix this?

I was afraid I'd find a post like this. My E172FPb will not work today. I had absolutely no issues yesterday. One minor difference - if I power off and then power on, I can see the screen for about 1 second. It then goes black and the power light flickers. I tried the trouble shooting suggestion and got no where. I'm also out of warranty. I guess that means a new monitor?

Sounds like the same problem to me... I'm starting to build quite a collection of flat panels....maybe i will be able to swap parts and make one work one of these days.  Good luck.
