Monitor turns on and off?

I have a Dell Monitor -> Model # e193fpc . The monitor turns on and off nonstopping. The power button does not do anything. I umplugged and I get the self Test Feature Check. If I unplugged from the computer and the power when I plugged back it does the same thing. The power button does not respond when I pressed. I have another monitor and it works fine, so I know is not my video card. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

The LED light goes from green, to orange, to OFF repeadly.  I unplugged the monitor for a week (from power and computer) and when I plugged it back in it seemed to be working. I unplugged the computer cable and I saw the Self-Test so I thought that the monitor was fine. A couple hours past by and the monitor start doing the same thing. I can see the Self-Test if I unplugged the computer cable, it doesn't switch on/off. I change the cable from the other monitor and the monitor worked for a couple hours and it quit working. This monitor has only  VGA connection. I had an extra new cable so I changed it but it made no difference.

What color is the power button LED when switching on/off? Are you saying during the Self-Test that it doesn't switch on/off? Use the monitor cable from the other monitor on the Dell. Waht happens?

Hi Chris

All of the sudden my LED display began turning on and off by itself. Even when the computer is not on, the LED display will just turn on. While I am using the computer, the LED display will just turn off. Any thoughts?
