P4317Q, horizontal line even if just turned on without Windows
HI,
After turn ON monitor appears a horizontal line. Then every three seconds appears another one line under first line, litlle bit change the bright and I see grid under second line. Thats hapenned every 3 seconds. Looks like some kind of test.

This possibly 6 year old monitor is most likely out of warranty. Enter the private Service Tag here to check.
If you see the horizontal line when running the P4317Q User's Guide page 48 BID (Built-in Diagnostics), the P4317Q is faulty. Reminder, Dell doesn't repair monitors. We only exchange them while still under the purchased warranty period.
