U2518D, factory calibration setting
Hello everyone!
I would like to pose a question concerning the Dell U2518D that I own.
This monitor from which I am extremely satisfied, comes pre-calibrated from the Dell factory with awesome results. Today they called me to tell me that in my office somebody's kid was messing around with the buttons of my screen and now the colors are totally off.
And I wonder. If I do a factory reset, will this return the colors of my monitor back to the original calibrated mode or back before the calibration happened?
What would be the suggested way to get my factory calibration settings back?
Thanks in advance.

For my notes and to check the monitor warranty status, click my username and send me the monitor service tag number via private message.
According to the User's Guide page 43, Others- Factory Reset will, "Restores all OSD settings to the factory defaults". So any changes that were made in the Color- Preset Modes will be removed.

All basic calibration is done at the factory and saved in the "Reset" mode. Understand, these are just baseline calibrations done by the manufacturer. To truly calibrate a monitor, you would need to purchase 3rd party calibration hardware (colorimeter) and software.

Thanks so much for your answer.
So, the calibration settings are included at the factory settings? Or have these calibrations been placed AFTER the factory settings, so with a factory reset I lose them?

That's awesome.
Perfectly understood.
