U2725QE, firmware update on Mac not working
I have tried to update my new U2725QE monitor on my Mac (M4 Pro Max), using official firmware update software as well as DDPM.
Firmware update software says that it is not correct monitor for Firmware provided, while DDPM simply fails the update.
Contacted support, but they are looping around "It works on Windows 11" and "You need DDPM and your monitor will work", and to me it seems that representative does not know difference between firmware, driver and supporting software.
Now just left 20 minutes waiting on a chat, and it seems they have disappeared.
I did power cycle the monitor.
This isn't about monitor not working at all, but about updating to latest firmware.

I would never attempt to run a Monitor firmware update from within the DDPM software. Read =

* You saved the macOS August 19, 2025 released M2T102 A01 file to the macOS desktop
* Then tried to install it from there?
* Do you have a WindowsOS computer there to attempt to run the WindowsOS September 3, 2025 released M2T102 A01 file?

I tried with firmware update utility, before tech support told me to install DDMP (despite me pointing out guide says to not have it running).
But it seemed the agent didn’t know the difference between firmware, drivers or software like DDMP
I don’t have a windows computer any more. I got rid of it last year as windows was just becoming an advertisement platform, with forced push of software and features nobody asks for. Hence I fully switched to Mac.

I went through this a couple of weeks ago.
I had to use another PC (I assume PC or Mac but I used a Windows Laptop).
Remove all connections to the U2725QE, then connect USB-A from the PC to USB-C on the monitor.
Run the firmware update on the PC and it should see the monitor and do the update.
Update takes about a 1/2 hour.
Hope that helps!!
