U4924DW, DDPM 2.1.0.20, sets monitor volume to 100%

After updating to version 2.1.0.20 of the Dell Display and Peripheral Manager application (DDPM-Setup_2.1.0.20.exe), the volume of the 29" Dell monitor is automatically set to 100% and keeps reverting to 100% whenever adjusted to a lower level. 2.0.3.9 was working fine.

DDPM 2.1.0.24 is currently only available via updating from within the DDPM app. So update DDPM and retest.

@DELL-Chris M This version 2.1.0.24 on my U3423WE seems do be working so far for me, no longer jumping of the Volume to 100%.

Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private monitor Service Tag with them.

What specific Dell monitor model? Have you now uninstalled 2.1.0.20 and reinstall 2.0.3.9.

* Added U4924DW to thread title

* For my notes, open the U4924DW Menu--> Others
* What Firmware version is installed? The latest on the Drivers & Downloads page is M2B105

I also experienced this issue. I uninstalled 2.1.0.20 and reinstalled 2.0.3.9. which resolved the issue. I would like to note that this is the second time this year that I have updated DDPM and encountered issues. Updating is starting to feel like a roll of the dice.

Same issue with the U4924DW and 2.1.0.20. First time using the monitor and software! Off to a good start....uninstalling now.

Confirming =

DDPM 2.1.0.20 June 27, 2025 had the issue of setting volume to 100%.

DDPM 2.0.3.9 June 2, 2025 did NOT have the issue.
