Another NMM 2.3 and Exchange 2010 Error
Hi
We run a 2 node DAG setup.
My physical nodes has
NSR_SNAP_TYPE=vss
NSR_ALT_PATH=c:\snap_mount
NSR_EXCH2010_DAG=dag.exampledomain.se
NSR_EXCH2010_BACKUP=passive
We get a "An error was detected during the replica creation.

I also get a error in MS Wxchange CmdletLogs:
Cmdlet failed. Cmdlet Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus, parameters {Identity=DAG_MBXDBTest\}.
If I run this as the user running RM ExchangeInterface that cmdlet works OK.
Config Checker looks ok, vssadmin list writers looks ok, IIS Admin->Powershell authentication is setup as in manual

Hi,
As per Copy Queue Length looks like there is something yet to be replicated, and note that you are backing up passive DB's.
Maybe you can gather more info from the Exchange Management Console.
Otherwise try to backup the active DB's and check out the results.

Copy Queue Length is changing all the time as changes occur in the Exchange system. Shouldn't I be able to backup passive databases on each DAG member?

Hello,
For me look pretty clear:
DAG_MBXDB1 is not in a Healthy state.
Please check with your Exchange admin the status of the DB's and the replication, as looks like if all the DB's were either not replicated correctly or in a dirty status.

Hi,
Of course you should be able to backup all passive DB's if configuration is ok.
In this case, having only 2 DAG nodes you should be fine setting up the configuration you mentioned above, however you need to ensure that both nodes are actually hosting passive DB's.
If one of the nodes is hosting only the active DB's backup will fail.
Could you please run eseutil /d and /p to correct any possible corruption in the DB's. Please note that that requires to unmount the DB's so it will be some downtime on the DB's.

This CmdLet error "Cmdlet failed. Cmdlet Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus, parameters {Identity=DAG_MBXDBTest\}." Isn't it possible that when failing to get status from databases, we get a error message in NMM stating that MBXDB's is unhealthy?

Are these DB's or these Exchange servers members of more than one DAG?
I've seen this before and the main issue was caused by the distribution of the DB's/DAG node.
