How to stop auto Labeling in Networker
In our setup tapes are getting labeled automatically only for one particular media pool in Tape Library.
Please suggest how to stop it so that we can label the tape manually.

Hi Snehasis,
You need to disable "Auto Media Management" at Library level and device level:
Definition of AMM in Library:
Auto media management - Enabling this attribute allows automated media management for volumes in the jukebox, which includes automatic labeling of 'blank' volumes. Any volume without a NetWorker label is considered to be blank.
Definition of AMM at Device level:
Auto media management - Enabling this attribute allows automated media management for volumes loaded into the device. This includes automatic mounting of NetWorker volumes loaded into the device, automatic labeling of 'blank' volumes loaded into the device, and automatic recycling of eligible volumes loaded into the device. Any volume without a NetWorker label is considered to be blank. For jukebox devices the value of this attribute is inherited from the Jukebox resource.
This is the way to stop automatic labelling of volumes, not changing pool configuration
Changing "Recycle from other pools" means that you will allow one volume, labelled to poolA, for example, to be recycled and used for poolB, but it will NOT stop Jukebox to label tapes when required.
Thank you,
Carlos

Hello Snehasis, I am moving this post to the NetWorker Support Forum where your question can be better seen and addressed.

Snehasis,
All you have to do is go into that respective pool's properties -> Configuration and uncheck the following options
"Recycle from other pools". That should do it.
