PowerConnect 2824 management vlan
When in "managed" mode, can I apply the devices ip address to a vlan other than the default vlan1? Example: We use vlan 50 for management on our network. I typically apply the devices ip address to that vlan and use a specific server to manage all devices on this vlan. There does not seem to be the option for this on the 28XX series Dell PowerConnect switches.

Hello
This question was answered on another thread:
http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/networking/f/4454/t/19436531.aspx
No, the 28xx does not have the functionality to allow the IP to be assigned to specific VLANs. It assigns to VLAN 1.
Thanks
