Can't Connect to Internet

I have had the Dell Inspiron N4110 for about 2 months now, and up until about a week ago I had no problems, but now I can only connect to the internet for short periods of time. I have restored my computer to factory new, re-installed windows, turned of the power management in the driver, uninstalled and re-installed driver, and just about everything else I can think of but I keep losing my internet. Also I have 2 other laptops, 2 xboxes, a desktop, and a few smartphones that all connect just fine. Here's my ipconfig /all.

Duncan25,

After you do these tweaks, please provide the virus program and firewall you're using.

Did you recently install/reinstall the operating system?

Duncan25,

Go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag number, then select your operating system. Under Network, download and install the latest drivers.

Try these tweaks....

Start, control panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your wireless adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.

Go to the power options, and changed the Wireless Adapter Setting, from Maximum Power Setting to Maximum Performance.

Also I forgot to mention that I have tried to connect to multiple routers and none work. I can usually connect to router, but it says connecting, identifying, or limited acsess. It usually cycles through them, but doesn't connect to the internet.

Thanks it is working okay for now I hope it lasts this time. I just re-installed yesterday because it wasn't working. I use Norton Security Suite for antivirus and firewall.

Duncan25,

Norton should not be a problem, since you're connected. Please let me know how your connection is with the tweaks.

It is doing it again, but I ran the Intel Manual Diagnostics Tool and it keeps failing the Association Test or if it passes that it fails the Ping Test.

Hi, Rick, I'm having the exact same problem.  I've installed new drivers, set all settings to how you have advised, and still cannot connect to internet wireless.  If I unplug the router and plug it back it, it will connect for a short time, under an hour, then it will inevitably, disconnect again.  It finds the router, but refuses to connect.  Sometimes when I run troubleshoot it says cannot find access point, other times it blames a network cable.

I have been dealing with this issue for quite some time.  What is the problem?

kyle_delafeld,

Make and model of your wireless router and the type of security you're using? What channel?

Can you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and REGISTERED OWNER and post the information back here.
