Dell D620 - Problems with Vista and wireless
Running Vista 32-bit on D620, using Intel 3945abg wireless. When using either the default Vista drivers for the wireless card, the latest published on Dell's site, and the latest from Intel's site, my wireless connection drops out after a period of time. This happens at home on my WPA-protected network, as well as public hotspots. Seems the only way to fix is to reboot the machine. Even doing the Diagnose and Repair doesn't seem to bring the wireless back to life.
The same issue happens when I'm using my Sierra Wireless 595 EVDO card. Will just drop out. No reboot necessary to get that one back to life.
Makes me think the problem may lie with Vista and not the wireless cards themselves. Anyone else having similar issues? Any suggested fixes?
Thanks - P
