Internet Explorer and Firefox questions
Hey guys,
I have IE7 and firefox installed. All of a sudden my IE7 does not connect to the internet, but my firefox is working fine. Is there something I can do to make IE7 start up again. I have tried installing IE6, uninstalling IE7, etc., but no luck. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked your sytem for spyware and malware? There are plenty of nasties out there that could infect Internet Explorer and not affect Firefox.
Another thing to try is to start Internet Explorer without Add-ons and see if it works that way. To do this go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (no Add-ons).
Let us know the results of this test.

I tried what you recommended and IE7 still comes up "webpage cannot be displayed". I have had antivirus and malware/spyware software for years and it comes back clean. The add-ons off doesn't fix it either.

Anispyware software has a difficult time keeping up with the malcontents who create the bad stuff. I would recommend going to the HijackThis forum, reading the message in red at the top of the forum and posting a HijackThis log over there for the experts to look at.
