Microsoft hotmail attachments

Question

I keep trying to send a Microsoft Word file attached to a hotmail note and the next message is My Browser Version will limit your ability to use Hotmail.  Download Internet Explorer 6.  But every time I try to, it confirms that I have the most current version.  I will add this,  ..... .....between the last time I sent an attachment and today, I have gotten the new version of Hotmail AND have installed Norton Internet Security 2004 and if I disable the Firewall, it works.  So I'm already guessing it may be related to the Firewall. On a scale of 1-10(pc literacy) I'm about a 5. Help, please ! THanks,

Find out what port or web URL is used and allow it in the firewall software.

John, thank you for the response, BUT,........I'm not PC literate enough to know where to find the port or URL ID/location. Can you help me a little further, please. Thanks, Bill
