Network connection

For some reason my network connection won't stay connected. And whenever I repair it , it won't renew the ip address. And it'll tell me limited connectivity. And then it'll have wrong ip address. Even when I manually put in the correct ip address my internet doesn't work.

when ever It's said limited connectivity it's giving me two wrong ip addresses.

I'm wondering if my wireless adapter is so outdated or something. My wireless adapter is about 2 years old and we just got a new router about maybe two months ago.

And I've had problems with my internet on my Dell Desktop pretty much EVER since we got a new router.

I even formated my computer. I still have the same problems. I have NO idea what to do.

HELP!

Are you assigning a static IP or Dynamic IP ?

I believe dynaminic But my dad figured the problem when I told him I was still having the problem and I told him even more throughly what was going on. So he just manually typed in the DNS Server & We put the WIRELESS Adapter up higher. Because I had to put on the floor. The signal strenght is better. He put the DNS Server in there manually SOOO that my network connection couldn't spit out two different WRONG ip addresses.
