tried everything, can't network connect printer
hey all, i consider myself a computer whiz, but have no idea what to do, or how to fix this.
just brought a dell dim loaded up 3000 and a aio 962 printer. I've chose to have this as the "main" comp on the network, have loaded the software, wizards, and everything and i simply cannot share this over my network. it's connected via usb. all the sharing is enabled and everything, but the other comps on the network can't even browse this computer. it finds it in the lookup, but now printer or files show up when clicking on them. the new comp is connected via a pci 11 mbps d-link wireless card from my old comp, which worked fine. when under options for finding a printer, i see that you can enter a url for the printer. could i somehow make on for this printer and try this technique? has anyone else had this problem?
please email response:

Make sure that the Windows XP firewall has File and Printer Sharing checked off on the Exceptions tab. If you are running any third party firewalls, like those provided by such programs as Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security, or McAfee Security Center, make sure they are configured to allow local network traffic. Note that most new Dell computers come with either the Norton or McAfee products preloaded.
