Windows doesn't even see my wireless card; it did before!

Ok, so I have an Inspiron 6000 (or rather, my boss does.)  My boss gave me his laptop to reinstall Windows.  Easy enough right?  He gave me the system disc, the applications disc, and the drivers disc.  I performed a clean reinstall of Windows, added the apps that he wanted on it, tried to get onto the internet via Internet Explorer through his wireless card.  A problem arose: no internet.  I went into the computer management console and went to the device manager.  Under "Network Adapters," I found a "1394 Net Adapter," and nothing else.  Under "Other Devices" I found an Ethernet Controller icon and a Network Controller icon, among a few other things.  Now, what uttlerly confuses me is that before I reinstalled Windows, the wireless card worked just fine, so I figured that the drivers for the card would be on the drivers disc, or at least the system disc.  After scouring all three discs for drivers, I headed over to the Microsoft Knowledge Base for help, but to no avail.  If anybody here could give me ANY advice at all on how to get this problem resolved, it would be greatly appreciated.

edit: I can not access the internet via ethernet cable either, due to the lack of ethernet controller drivers.
