I inserted saphire pulse rx 6400 gpu into my 3050. I switched from quadro p1000. Rx 6400 works, fps is great, however i have lags in games (wolfenstein 2, star wars battlefront 1 etc). It seems to be like micro lags or stuttering. With quadro p1000 i never experienced such problems, only fps is lower (because card is not so powerful). Possible problem what i found on reddit is bandwidth between gpu and cpu, because rx 6400 has only 4 lanes. Has someone experiences?
@redxps630 when it comes to fps then rx6400 is much faster then quadro p1000 (and it is clearly seen), problem is these micro lags. The game hangs for a 0.5s here and there.
The RX 6400 uses PCIe 4.0 x4. On older PCIe 3.0 pc such as Optiplex 3050, this dramatically cuts bandwidth, causing stuttering.
For most games, the performance difference between PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 is minimal (1-2% measurable, but often unnoticeable). The main exception is specific low-lane-count cards (like RX 6400) that are designed for PCIe x4, which see significant slowdowns on PCIe 3.0 due to the reduced lanes and bandwidth.
Thank you, yeah rx 6400 uses only 1/4 of quadro p1000 bandwidth in pci3. This can explain it. New cards use 8 lanes instead of 16 ( for example single slot lp rtx 3050). Has someone experience how well 8 lanes work by the older games (up to 2018) running on 1920x1080?

Radeon RX oem gpu cards are not great for gaming.
RX6400 is 100% slower than rtx3050 for example
