Loud Optiplex 7090Micro
I recently purchase an Amazon "renewed" Dell Optiplex 7090 Micro factor, with 32RAM, M2 Nvme 500GB drive, Win 11. Although it functions well, I"m really annoyed that all of a sudden the fan ramps up for a couple of minutes loudly, during menial activities like surfing the internet.
Actually, during others, like watching movies or running antivirus software, it's quite tolerable.
Just to be on the safe side, I ran full diagnostics and all the instances pass.
Any ideas for this situation ?

Micro has weaker cooler so during turbo boost of cpu they naturally ramp up. Not much you can do to prevent auto over clock or turbo boost. You can try RTC reset once since the pc was refurbished but no promise it would make a difference.

The fan on OptiPlex Micros should only ramp up if the processor is doing some intensive computing like video encoding and processing etc... Normally the fan runs quite silently. Is the fan quiet when it is not ramped up ? Try disabling applications and programs from running in the background, you may have too many of them opened and running in the background.
