Missing Drivers: Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology

My Device Manager, under "Other devices," indicates my OptiPlex has both:

Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology Device Component
Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology Updater Component

The Device Manager further reveals that for each of the above, "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)"

Neither Intel nor Dell driver update functions suggest the missing drivers. So, what if anything to do? Help!

Exactly what model Optiplex is it and what OS is being used?

The model OptiPlex Tower Plus is 7010. The OS is Windows 10 Pro, Build 19045.4529. Thanks for your interest.

Thanks.  Did you already try?:  Intel Dynamic Tuning Driver

No, I have not because I've found at least 25 such drivers, some more recent than that suggested above, at:

https://www.dell.com/en-us/search/intel%20dynamic%20tuning%20driver?p=2&t=Support&r=commonlanguage-en,commontype-Drivers

or Dell Search

Curiously NONE of them seem, including your suggestion indicated as critical, appear to be compatible with a Dell OptiPlex. Again, Dell's Support Assist is telling me my PC is NOT in need of driver updates.

Confusing to say the least. Thoughts?

Good point.  I couldn't find the Intel Dynamic Tuning Driver on the drivers page for the 7010 Plus MT.

Is everything else working normally?  May be it's a small annoyance that can be ignored?  I take it it's nothing plugged into a USB port.

I'm out of ideas for it.  Not sure if you can just delete it.  May be one of our other contributors/experts will chime in.

BTW, if you were to attempt to download a driver for it, if it's incompatible, you'll get an alert saying so.

You might also try the "Get help now" button on the lower-right and chat with Dell directly.

Yes, all else appears to be working normally. So, that's how I take it, as a small annoyance to ignore.

The underlying issue, however, remains: Dell's support software seemingly not working in concert with Dell's Device Manager.

Download and install this driver.

It appears there exists an installed earlier version of an Intel Management Engine Interface:

May I ask, though, what is the relationship between the suggested newer Intel-Management-Engine-Components-Installer and the Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology Device Component and Updater Component? Additionally, might you have any idea why Dell support software for my specific Service Tag is not helpful?

Thank you!!

The big issue is Dell's installers do not account for Github-level placeholders such as "driver259" etc. that fool its installer into not installing the driver. When this is done to the Dynamic Tuning driver, which is model-specific, it can be disastrous to the computer's hardware. Dell needs to be giving instructions on how to force-install vital driver packages without allowing them to make the final decision on whether to install or not!
