well known limitation of forum is that webp image is not accepted in image upload.  I used to save the webp then open paint to save as jpeg which triggers an alert that I need to click before it can be saved, then upload the saved jpeg to forum.  inconvenient and inefficient.

I just tried direct paste a reddit webp image link.  it worked.  image instantly pasted.

but my luck was ephemeral.  

the next time I tried this trick, only the url image link is posted?

I guess when I was lucky, forum matrix has a glitch which allows instant go through of an open door to paste image.  when the matrix is reset, it closes that door.
