Optiplex 5070 - Trouble running two Nvidia NVS 510's
Hi, I have a bunch of Optiplex 5070's with Windows 11. I have a control room with a SCADA system running, it has 20 monitors and 5 Optiplexs in it. They're talking about 4 more monitors and I wanted to try to get 8 monitors per Optiplex.
I have the Nvidia NVS 510's installed and they both show up in Device Manager as "Nvidia NVS 510"
They both run fine when installed one at a time.
I have the latest BIOS for the system 9/4/2025

assuming this is 5070 tower that has one blue one black x16 slot, typically one of the two is wired x16 the other x4.
if OP was letting Windows 11 setup do automatical driver install for dual nvs Quadro card, the native Win 11 card may be inadequate
try uninstall driver for both nvs in dev mgr then install dedicated nvidia driver for Win11/10

The Nvidia NVS 510 has a max power consumption of 35w. 260w PSU can easily handle 2.

The system has only one PCIe X16 slot for a video card -- the other one is a combo slot. You cannot run two PCIe X16 GPU cards together.
The other issue will be power -- the power supply is 260 W, which is not going to be enough to run two PCIe X16 GPU cards.
