Optiplex 7010 End of life is last Dell Optiplex to support XP

Intel HD graphics 4000 has XP driver

intel HD graphics 4600 no XP driver

You can still use discrete video card that has XP driver in 9020

Audio driver use 9010 audio device model Realtek ALC3220 to look for XP driver

    or install discrete sound card

Intel chipset driver out of luck

in my experience without chipset driver there will be a number of unknown devices in dev mgr but pc still boots into Windows

don’t need Ethernet driver for xp

so if in principle xp can support all 4 core intel up to 7700 is it possible to overkill run xp in Optiplex 7040 (6th), 7050 (7th)?

it is implicitly doubted xp would support 6 core cpu.  also 4GB ram is max it can use

I confirm Windows XP 64 can be installed in 7010 EOL successfully

choose ATA option in bios sata operation which is equivalent to IDE

selecting Dell video audio chipset Intel ME driver note that Dell supplied dedicated XP 64 driver which end with ZPE in driver name

typically two drivers on Dell site the first is for XP32 and the second ZPE is for 64

able to play FEAR using all onboard video and audio without glitch
