Optiplex 7020 Tower Plus - Enclosure behind combo drive/optical tray - ?
Looked around all docs but cant find out what the enclosure behind the 3.5/optical tray is for. There is a dual Sata connector there, and it looks like it should house some type of 2.5 drive bracket but can't find anything on what its for. Any Ideas ?

Dell owner manual has been missing pieces of information here and there.
7020 tower plus manual omits 2.5” hdd install
but you can find it in Optiplex 7010 tower plus service manual. These two models use same chassis

That is 2.5” sata ssd or hdd cage which can accommodate two 2.5” storage.
Your pc is currently missing the oem blue caddy for 2.5” storage.

Looks like if customer bought pc without ordering hdd, Dell configuration (original spec) would say
401-AANH : No Additional Hard Drive
for that Dell would not even include 2.5” caddy
