I've had this computer since late December in 2023. It had Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 installed and running on it. I was going to stay on it if I could figure out how to add cortana to my search bar.. but I couldn't find the one tool that the one guy released for Open search several years ago.. So I went to 8, and then 8.1.. Then Windows 10, and then a few months later I got a Windows 10 update finally and I installed it

I got on the Windows 22H2 update In April of 2024, and then all of a sudden I got Bing search capabilities again on my Windows 10 device.. oh and Cortana got added to my device, though it wasn't functional.  Then I went onto the ESU program in September 2025.. Sometime back in March I got an update and got several errors on my computer.. I couldn't do a system restore because I couldn't figure out my password to access the WinRe environment. Changing it online wouldn't change it. I did figure it out a month ago though, I just had disable an option in my Windows Hello login settings going from pin to password.. then win key L. Login with password. but I lost the restore point from back then...  I'm unsure what restarting fresh would be like since I'm unsure what the original state of this computer was like.. 

ANYWAY, I can't press Windows key and type something and expect a web result in my search bar anymore. I'm trying to find a fix, but I'm not sure what to do. AI told me to make a local profile, and then login to it, but that didn't work. I only get Bing search results when I'm on the local profile with my Microsoft account not logged into it. I want to be able to search in my search bar and get results without having to press enter and open a web browser. It uses way less RAM, and way less CPU than me having to use a web browser. I play 1 game that suffers from severe memory leaks in Steam.. and I've been forced to open a browser to search things up.. and well tbh I feel like it's takes me more time to find answers.

Also I tried downloading Dell SupportAssist, and.. It says I should download and install these 3 things..
