Optiplex XE4 Video Card Advice
Awaiting delivery of my XE4 SFF(12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-12500, 300W internal power supply unit, 2 x 16 GB, DDR4) which I would like add a video card to. I believe that the Radeon RX 6500, 4 GB GDDR6, low profile, could be an option but also wondered about a Dell AMD Radeon Pro WX2100 2GB DDR5 or similar as cheap used on Ebay.
I am not intent on achieving gaming quality but do need something that will run Paintshop Pro 2023 photo editing.
I know options are limited by space so would be grateful for any advice on what could be suitable.
Thanks

if it is low profile, yes. I think RX550 and GT1030 are of same speed

Dell validated oem gpu for XE4 SFF:
AMD Radeon™ RX 640, 4GB GDDR5, low profile
AMD Radeon™ 540, 1GB GDDR5, low profile
AMD Radeon™ 550, 2GB GDDR5, low profile

RX6500 LP oem also included in part list of XE4 (see below) although not mentioned on spec sheet.
although you can experiment with WX2100, I suggest you choose the Dell oem card to have a smooth experience. some of the oem card are inexpensive too.

For Paintshop Pro 2023 photo editing.
gpu requirement:
this is a very low requirement. any of the oem card above qualifies.
part list of XE4 oem gpu
AMD Radeon 540 1GB LP (DP/DP)
AMD Radeon 550 2GB LP (DP/DP)
AMD Radeon RX 6500 4GB GDDR6, Low Profile, 2xDP

here is RX640 oem LP for SFF
AMD Radeon RX 640, 4GB, LP (DP /mDP/mDP)
RX640 definitely meets direct X 12

RX640 pricing is better than the newer RX6500.

The RX 6500 4GB should work fine as it is low profile and will give better support for Windows 11

I wonder if the ASUS GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card could also be a contender?

Once more thanks for the advice. Think I will go for the GT1030 as I have no need for gaming level performance. Good price on Ebay (open box) so seems like the best value for my intended use.
