Can I update my processor cheaper than buying another refurbished PC?

can upgrade to core 2 quad. still way too old cpu for official Win 11 (8th gen or newer)
can install Win 11 by using tricks to bypass cpu check.

@redxps630 Interesting should I do it so that my system will be updated regularly or stay with 10?

For 2026, at least, MicroSoft does have some continuing Windows 10 support options (at least for (extended) security updates, ESU): there are free options and paid ones. if memory serves, if you have and use OneDrive back-up for that PC and don't exceed the free 5? GB limit, there's a free extension of support. I believe that the paid options start with a super-cheap deal for "Microsoft education customers," then just $1.99/month for Microsoft 365 Basic with 100 GB OneDrive, then a 30$/year for home use ESU, then $60 for a commercial use ESU.
