Power on configuration

Hi all,

I have a PowerEdge R610, R710 and R810 server. I know that they are now to recently server but at the moment are running properly for customer company.

I would ask you if there is a way to configure power on server just plugging power cable without press power button.

I would this config to avoid to restore manually server when electricity come back after a black out (sometimes UPS is not sufficient to cover blackout time).

Is it possible? Can I configure it using iDRAC6? Is it possible from BIOS?

Thanks

Federico

This can be configured on BIOS. There will be a setting called "AC Power Recovery" in BIOS under section "System Security Screen" which will allow you do to same setting. For more details you can refer below link. (Check "AC Power Recovery" option on Page 69)

This BIOS setting will work for R710 also. As you mentioned we need to reboot the server to apply this setting as it is a BIOS setting.

Hello @DELL-Shine K ,

I imagine that it is similar on Dell PowerEdge R710?

Is there a way to do without create disservice (I must reboot the machine to set bios).

Thanks for your help!
