Can I swap out R6525 8 Bay NVMe Backplane with a SAS/SATA backplane

Hi,

I have a Dell PowerEdge R6525 and would like to install SAS drives. I cannot do so because the system has an NVMe backplane. Would it be possible to swap out the NVMe backplane with a SAS/SATA one. If so, what is the part number of the supported SAS/SATA backplane.

Thank you in advance!

    Techmanjesus007,

As seen on page 13 here, the x10 backplane supports NVME, SAS, and SATA drives. So there isn't a different backplane needed to go to SAS drives.

Whats odd is I am not showing an 8 drive backplane that supports NVME, as the link shows the 8 drive configuration shows NVME support on the rear backplane.

Let me know if this helps.
