R310 Ram upgrade

Question

I have a PowerEdge R310 that I am trying to find some RDIMMs for. I have already gone the route of the 2Rx4 which doesn't work. Read through all of the posts, I have discovered why that doesn't work. My question is has anyone tried DDR3 2xR8 8gb 1333 RDIMMs? The Technical guide does say that single and dual rank dimms are supported. I know the Technical guide states that the 4Rx8 800 is the only quad ranked ram tested but that is kind of hard to find. All of the ones I have found have been low voltage (1.35v) or outrageously priced or both. eBay's offerings are about the only thing available that is less than $100 a stick.

My current configuration is XEON X3470, 32gb UDIMMs, 3 1TB connected to a H700 in a raid 5, 1 LSI SCSI card. BIOS 1.8.2 The UDIMMs were "borrowed" out of one of my T110II servers which is down getting an i3 transplanted into it.

So I took another chance and purchased 2 more 8gb RDIMMs but these are at 2Rx8. They booted just fine, just finished a pass through MEMTEST86+ (5.01) and passed with no errors. Have another pair on their way.

I will also include the labels of the 8gb UDIMMs for 32gb of UDIMMs.. I know, the "book" says it will only support up to 16gb of UDIMMs but mine has run just fime with 32gb, even unmatching and high and low voltage mixed.
