Upgrading T430 CPU from E5-2630 v4 to E5-2699 v4

I would appreciate it if someone could help me with giving me the compatibility document so i could see if my server CPU is eligible to be upgraded to E5-2699 v4 as i need far more coreCPU.

I am in the same boat, from my research

* Dell support have stated that they did not test the 2699 (or other high end 26xx) processors in the T430 despite listing all E5-26xx as compatible

* E5-2699v4 is over the listed max TDP for the motherboard

* Supposedly the configuration is possible as 3rd party vendor sell it

On my setup, I have 2x E5-2697v4, which are the same TDP as the 2699. I have the same issue that has been mentioned before. With 1x CPU, it boots fine. With 2x CPU, no video/no POST.

One thing I have not seen thoroughly discussed, is that the T430 has different PSU configs. Mine has the 495W units. Between 145W x 2 CPU, main board, drives, add ons, RAM, fans, I don't think that 495W is enough, and could be causing the issue. This is just a theory, but I found a pair of 1100W take offs for very cheap so I'm willing to try it out.

If that doesn't work, I plan on stepping down the CPU. A major bummer since it is supposed to be supported.

Hello, for T430 I don't see e5-2699-v4. but for example, this is what I see.
part# KV7W3
description: SVC,PRC,E52698V4,2.2,50M,B0
But before changing to a new CPU, make sure your BIOS and iDRAC is up to date.

This is the part # of the highest one I can find within.

20/40 Cores/ Threads

So 80 is possible

Checking back in here with an update.

Got 2x 1100W PSU's really cheap, so figured I would give it a shot in the event the 495W PSU cannot handle the 2nd processor.

Didn't make a difference.

Going to update bios/firmware, but not expecting anything from it. If something change I will reply here but otherwise it looks like I'm buying some different CPU's

Hello the CPU you have is not validated by Dell. So after the update, it may work, or still not.

As expected, bios/idrac/lifecycle updates did not help.

E5-2698v4 x2 booted up no problem
