Drive too small for raid array
I have a strange issue where I am replacing a drive in a Dell T340 with H730 Perc.
Both drives are Seagate ST3300657SS but the new drive only shows 273GB where the old one was 278.88GB
The other 7 drives are also ST3300657SS with 278.88GB
The new drive cannot rebuild because it is detected as smaller. Whats up with that? Do I need to do a firmware update on the drive? I don't think the new drives are Dell branded. Is that the issue?

Dcol,
I would start with reformatting the drive, followed up with updating the drives firmware. It may be that the 3rd party you got the drive from has them with a different size header on it, hence the reformat to see if it corrects that. Let me know what you see afterwards.
