Maximum recharge count exceeded?

The computer I have is Dell PowerEdge 2600 implementing RAID 5 with Dell Perc 4/Di.  Installed OS is Windows Advanced Server 2000.

I get the following messages in the Windows Event system log section repeatedly.  I looked up event id 2213, and it told me to replace controller battery.  I guessed the controller it referred to was RAID controller.  If so, where can I find info on where to where to obtain the battery, and how to replace the battery?

Thanks in advance

It seems that the controller battery is really dying.  Some info says that the cache on the controller is battery backed, so I guess this is the battery.  My question is whether the controller will be functioning without issues as long as AC power is steadily provided.

The controller will still work, but if there is a power loss and there is anything in cache at the time, it will be lost. This is what can led to data corruption. I am not sure if the controller will disable cache automatically on this controller or not. You should get the battery replaced and look into updating the system.
