Hi @byoo

Well, according to the user guide on XE8545, it does not support H755N front. It does support H755 though. https://dell.to/3lyZuN8

But, you can't mix NVMe and SATA or SAS drive. https://dell.to/3TqwnZ9;

Hence, you will not be able to do RAID1 SATA SSD with RAID1 NVMe.

I appreciate your reply.

Could you double-confirm that H755 cannot build a separate RAID1 SATA SSD when it has already made a RAID1 NVMe SSD?

I also want to know whether both an H745 and an H755 can be installed in a single XE8545.

H745 and H755 have the same two backplane cable connectors (backplane cable A &backplane cable B).

Can one backplane be connected to only one PERC adapter?

PowerEdge XE8545 supports the following drive configurations:
● 10 x 2.5-inch backplane configuration with support up to 10 SAS/SATA drives.
● 8 x 2.5-inch backplane configuration with support up to 8 NVMe drives.
Can one backplane be connected to only one PERC adapter? That depends on the backplane configuration. Also you can't mix parts for NVNe and SATA. Furthermore, you can use only 1 PERC.
