Hello,

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/poweredge-r440/per440_ts_pub/drives?guid=guid-e41a5507-1f31-47bd-a851-3f5d850ecdf7&lang=en-us

The Dell EMC PowerEdge R440 system supports:

4x3.5 configuration: up to 4 SAS or SATA drives (SDD/HDD) / Nearline SAS HDDs

8x2.5 configuration: up to 8 SAS or SATA drives (SDD/HDD)

10x2.5 configuration: up to 10 SAS or SATA drives (SDD/HDD)

10x2.5 with NVMe configuration: up to 4 NVMe SSDs + SAS or SATA drives (SDD/HDD) on remaining slots

The last one "

10x2.5 with NVMe configuration: up to 4 NVMe SSDs + SAS or SATA drives (SDD/HDD) on remaining slots" when your system is with this configuration, it should work. Please check out https://www.dell.com/community/en/direct-messaging

Hello,

You have that correct.

R440 Supports: Four NVMe drives on 10 x 2.5-inch drive system.

@OOBHOST , just to be clear, certain configs of the R440 support NVMe. You would have to check to see which config you own and if it was configured to accept NVMe drives.

Yes it’s possible- do not use RAID on S150.
