re-Assign hot spare HDD to Raid
hi ,
it's possible to re-assign an hot spare raid drive , so that I can use it to grow the array capacity ?
how can achieve that?

Hi,
Actually yes you can do it. After remove hot spare drive, you can use online capacity expansion. I believe below article useful for you, please take a look at it:
Steps:
Figure 1: Expand Virtual Disk
Figure 2: Expand Virtual Disk
Figure 3: Expand Virtual Disk
Figure 4: Virtual Disk Management
Figure 5: Select the Virtual Disk
Figure 6: Expand Virtual Disk
Figure 7: Select RAID Level for Virtual Disk
Figure 8: Apply Changes to Virtual Disk
Figure 9: Confirm the Virtual Disk changes
Figure 10: Start the Virtual Disk Expansion
Figure 11: Ok to complete Virtual Disk expansion
Figure 12: View Status of Virtual Disk expansion
After the reconstruction starts, the system can be left in the RAID BIOS until complete, or the system can be rebooted into the operating system.

it is possible to do it from iDRAC console , minimizing the downtime ?
