MD3200i: cannot clear lockdown or enter the Service Menu

Hello,

I am trying to provision MD3200i and I cannot seem to get the Array Manager to see the unit. 

I have connected the serial cable. I can break into VxWorks and show netconfig:

I have also issued lemClearLockdown multiple times but each time I get this at the end of the post cycle:

In the end, I am unable to see the unit in PowerVault Modular Array Storage Manager. And when I break and press S, nothing happens. I cannot get back into where I can change IP or reset password, etc. 

Please help :(

more info.

I am connecting via putty. I have set 115200-8-n-1 as my settings. I am working on a single controller.

Hello SoloX,

Is your MD3200i a single controller system due to a failed controller or has it always been a single controller system?  If you connect your serial cable to your controller can you capture the entire boot up of the controller so we can see where you are getting the lockdown in the boot process?

Hello SoloX,

Can I get you to pull a support bundle from your MD3200i so that I can review it?  There is something else that is causing your controller to go into a lockdown state that we are not seeing in the controller bootup log that you posted.  I will send you an email that you can reply with the support bundle log.
