Where is 2.8.0 upgrade for PERC controller?

I am updating the Array Manager software to version 3.5.0 for my Powervault 770N.  The readme.txt mentions having to upgrade my PERC3 ROMB controller to version 2.8.0 in order to meet the minimum specifications.  When running the setup for the program it also does a check to verify that installed BIOSes and other drivers meet at least a minimum requirement and it also is telling me that I currently have version 2.7.1 and it needs version 2.8.0. I cannot find the downloadable for this file.  Can someone tell me where I can find it?

Hi,

The version 2.8 firmware and drivers are not yet downloadable, however they are included with the Array Manager download. The install program will upgrade these components automatically (if possible).

Would you know an approximate date as to when it may be available?

I have a PERC 2 with v.2.7.1 firmware on it, but v.2.8.0 drivers in Windows 2003 from the latest Array Manager download.

I notice that I'm running into SCSI timeout errors and the occasional pause during large disk writes/reads and I'm hoping that the firmware update will smooth these out.

Thanks!

Hi,

The Version 2.8 upgrades should be available separately for download in mid April.

It is my understanding the Array Manager should also upgrade the firmware to version 2.8.

How can I get Dell's Power Edge 8450 startup disk, with a Power Vault Scsi disk unit, to install Linux Red Hat 2.1 Server Advanced

Apropos of this... where can I download the latest Array Manager?  I can't seem to find it in any of the categories offered when I search using my service tag.
